Do you offer guided birdwatching tours?
We do not operate tours directly. However, we can recommend professional guides and organized trips through BirdLife Austria and regional tour operators. National parks also offer excellent ranger-led excursions focused on local birdlife.
Can I contribute articles or photographs?
We welcome contributions from birders with relevant expertise or unique experiences in Austrian locations. Please send your topic proposal and brief background to our sightings email address for consideration.
How do I report a rare bird sighting?
Significant sightings should be reported to BirdLife Austria's rarities committee and entered into eBird. We appreciate being informed of notable observations that may warrant guide updates, but official documentation should go through established channels.
What is your typical response time?
We aim to respond to all inquiries within 2-3 business days. During peak birding seasons when we may be in the field, responses might take slightly longer, but we read every message we receive.
